Introduction Forum

Big forums like this are always getting new members. Forgive me if I missed it in my ignorance but this forum doesn't seem to have a place for new members to introduce themselves and get to know the community. I suggest you add something like this.

Yes but that topic was posted in what most forums consider "The off topic forum". Introductions are related to the forum so it's not good posting them there, but a more valid reason is that like I said, big communities often get new members. It's good to just have an archive forum where they can start introduction topics that will hide after a month or a period of time has passed.

Still, I'm not sure if that is possible on a vBulletin forum. I use IPBFree which allows that feature. It's up to the administrator/s of this forum to whether or not they add an introductions forum, but they will find that they will get a lot more introductions, also the off topic forum 'The Alley' I'm sure is a popular place to chat about other things...

Anywho an introductions forum is just something I see on most forums I visit and I get used to it. I can't expect one here, just suggesting something that may or may not have been thought of here yet.

There is a specific thread for introducing? Sorry, I didn't see it. Can you provide a link to this thread?

Heh, I didn't see the thread, that's why categories are a lot easier, or maybe I'm just ignorant... Anywho I suppose that clears it up, as long as a solution has already been thought up.
