Nike+ App For iPhone Screenshots Leaked -    #1

With the success of the Nike+ for the iPod Nano, it has long been suspected that they would come up with a similar set-up for the iPhone. Still, little has been said about it by either company, but leaked screenshots may be proof that it is nearing completion. iPhon.fr claims to have screenshots of a new upcoming Nike+ app for the iPhone in action.

The original Nike+ setup involves a sensor in the user's shoes (supplied by Nike, of course) and a reciever attached to the iPod Nano that counts the number of steps you take and how long you've been moving, as well as approximate distance traveled. The information is stored on the Nano, and then synced with a training log the next time it's connected to iTunes.

iPhone.fr doesn't mention if the iPhone setup will include any additional hardware, but they claim that the screenshots are proof of it's existence, and it is convincing.

Nike + on the iPhone -    #3
I actually already run with the iPhone, with a armband its not to bad. I can't wait for NIKE+ to finally come to the iPhone I had it with my old Nano and loved it. That said, this application is most likely a fake, the guys over at AppleInsider brought up a good point in a post today that points out that the app seems to show access to music. So what you say? Well according to them the SDK doesnt currently allow applications access to the media library; and while it's certain that Apple would be taking the reigns on developing such an application with Nike I would think there attention would be focused elsewhere like bug fixes and bringing the iPhone 3g and OS 2.0 issues under control. Just my 2cents.
