TurkCell To Carry iPhone 3G In Turkey

Turkcell, a leading wireless phone carrier in Turkey, has announced that they will be bringing the iPhone 3G to customers in Turkey some time later this year. TurnkCell currently holds 56% of the market in that country, and is one of three mobile carriers in the country. Vodafone announced back in May that they would also be carrying the device there as well.

"We're very excited to be working with Apple to bring the iPhone 3G to Turkey," said, Lale Saral Develioglu, Turkcell's chief marketing officer. "iPhone 3G represents the ultimate in mobile device technologies, and we can't wait to offer this innovative product to millions of mobile customers later this year."

Pricing for the devices and tariff plans will be available at a later date. People interested can register to be notified with more information at turkcell.com.tr.
