'IAmRich' iPhone App Helps You Achieve Über-Snob Status For $1,000 [Removed] - August 6th, 2008, 09:56 PM #1 |
![]() So you bought that $176,400 diamond-encrusted iPhone, and that satisfied your intense snobbery for a while, but now you're looking for an extra something to show your wealth using your favorite Apple device. Not to worry! Now you can let your hired help know they're beneath you with just the tap of a button, thanks to this new iPhone app, aptly titled "I am rich". What's so exceptional about this app, you ask? Absolutely nothing, except that it is available for purchase in the App Store for no less than $999.99. All that this "app" consists of is a screen that shows a shiny red ruby on the front, with the standard information 'i' that the developer claims reveals a secret mantra that "may help to you stay rich, healthy and successful." Yeah, it's a piece of junk (albeit very expensive junk), which probably has something to do with Apple's removing it from the App Store. Before that, its page was (btw, make sure you have iTunes set to verify before purchasing applications before you click this link, just in case it's back again) here. [via Gizmodo]

Big funny joke. Come on stupid, Apple doesn't have a sense of humor. They would not put anything on the App store for a joke. It just shows you how easy the App store is to use!
This guy should learn a huge lesson from this huh? As for the guy who made the App, what a great scam. Even if only ONE person buys it, you still make $1000... minus $30 that goes to Apple. Win, Win! |

I didn't call you stupid JFrap. I read it back and it sounded like I did. I am directing my comments at the brain-trust that we are talking about.

You have to wonder how good Apple's quality control is when they're reviewing an app like this and including it in the App store.
