Photo: Where iPhone 3G's Come From

One person over at removethelabels.com has an interesting story. Their mother purchased an iPhone, and was playing around with it and was about to change the wallpaper when she discovered that it had already been used to take three pictures, which were still on the device. Two of them were blurry, but the third was not, and it's contents was very surprising. Check them out after the break.

The three pictures (shown below) appear to have been taken on the iPhone 3G assembly line, and offer a fascinating glimpse at where iPhones really come from. Not a lot places you'll see that many 3Gs in one place these days.

Very interesting pics.

Question, however... how could someone take a picture from an iPhone in the factory? Doesn't it need to be activated first? You don't have access to the main menu features just right out of the box, do you?

possibly they are "tested" at random for quality then restored back unactivated for sale.

Well the iphones look authentic. If the story about JUST finding the pictures is authentic or not that's a totally different situation. but the pictures show lots of iphones...

How many new iphones have cheap labels stuck to them? Look closely at pic 3.

they cant be refurbs because Apple hasnt started producing refurbs ... according to my local Apple Genius... interesting point though.

There are no refurbished iPhone 3Gs on the site...and, check out the conversation I had with an Apple Store Rep. online... Refurbished iPhone 3G's don't exist yet...

Picture 2 looks like someone's fingers with one of those page turner condom looking things on their finger. I know it provides absolutely no help but its kind of like Where's Waldo now.
