New features ? - August 9th, 2007, 09:44 PM #3 |
|
I think it would be great if you guys made up a iPhone-esque dashboard
icon, to put all the iPhone's widgets into. So if one needed any of that specialized information, they tap the dashboard icon to see all of the widgets they have on their iPhone. This would allow people to add more custom widgets on their iPhone, add a iPhone-esque Spotlight app/icon to the home-screen when that gets made by someone (or Apple), while actually cleaning up the home-screen at the same time, and making even more room for that games icon when that comes along. |

the ability to set image backgrounds as transparent or, at least, to properly pull in the transparency of the PNG you provide.
the ability to add files to the iPhone, which will aid things like installing applications and customizing the look and feel (like being able to add an icon.png file to the DemoApp, which will provide a wallpaper for the jump page.) These two things alone would be HUGE. ![]() --- iPhoneWriter.com Blogging about the Apple iPhone from an Apple iPhone. Recent Article: Review: In-Depth Aliph JawBone and Apple iPhone Review |

The ability to drag and copy Apps into the phone's browser. Unless it's there and I'm not doing it right? I guess that'll only work with SSH now, and I don't even wanna mess with that

i am with the two unregistered users
DRAG and DROP in iFuntastic. i would pay for a pro version. ssh is way to much work. i would also like a feature that you can change all the icons like as with the carrier logo where all you have to do is size it |

I vote for single press install of SSH and all the good binaries. Same deal for tethering. That would rock.

I know, I know... I am a broken record... but the ability to upload files - any file - provides so much room for exploration, from skinning to loading applications to potentially running Linux or the like (not that I would do the last one.)
I guess we'll all find out soon enough... rumor has it we've got about a day to wait before the next release.

Rather simple - August 15th, 2007, 03:41 PM #10 |
|
I have a rather simple request, I don't think it's a feature yet but if it is my bad....
Would there be any way to make it so you could customize the other sounds in your phone? Like other than ringtones, I'm talking about like the little noise it makes when you receive a new SMS Text or E-mail. I would sure love to change those to classic little retro noises like getting a coin on mario or a 1up or something. lol |

Where you got that version number scheme, I have no idea, much like your mention of "2 hours". Looks like reading things more than once might save you a lot of confusion in the future.

save voicemail feature - August 16th, 2007, 01:43 AM #12 |
|
The main thing I would like to do is download the voicemail files. This program should allow us to download those filetypes, even if they can't be played in the program. I want to store the voicemail files on my laptop. Is there any way we can do this now? I can find the files (private/var/root/(system?)/library/voicemail, but I'm not able to download them.
Help!!! Thanks, Eric |

Using iPHUC - August 16th, 2007, 04:30 PM #15 |

It would be great if we could just have native access to the files on the phone, let us brick it... ;-) honestly, I want to view the contents of the files so If I can just download them to view locally (or make directories and uplaod new files) that would be super c00L. Looks like you have the framework there, but you've done what I'll term, "the right thing" to ensure n00bs don't brick their phone. GREAT JOB on this tool so far. I hope Stevie J is watching and learning for the next release. As I said before... beta me up fellas... I got some time in the next week to bang away.... :-) |

There are big things coming, just give it time. bitSplit is working day and night on it, and so there's no time for a beta to be made. It's close, though.

I finally got to use iFunstastic yesterday. I went to my friends house, who has an Intel Mac (I have a Powerbook G4), and downloaded it on his computer.
Jailbreak failed the first time, but I think that's because I started holding the buttons down to late; but after that it worked like a breeze. Put some ringtones on in less than 5 minutes, and I was set, haha. =] I was kind of too sketched out to change the home screen arrangement, but i'll try that next. I can't say I really know what to add to the wishlist, the program was pretty sweet, ha. =] Peace! |

Sounds great - I've already made a PayPal donation --- I'm proud to support innovation like this that makes it easier for those of us who don't want to futz with the guts (rhyme unintended) to get things working.
I'd certainly like to add my vote for a way to get apps installed on the iPhone through iFuntastic without all the fiddling. I'm still trying to figure out the MINIMUM effort that I need to make to get ssh on to it --- every article I read seems to just reference earlier articles, all of which seem to require low-level hacking with iPHUC and iPhoneInterface, etc..... Volume - August 24th, 2007, 12:26 AM #20 |

I don't know if this is possible (Though I'm pretty sure it is):
It would be nice to somehow adjust the max volume of the phone. My grandparents have trouble hearing the ring tones because the volume is very low (even on max), and I would like to help them out. |
