Live iPhone Alley Podcast Episode 0 This Saturday

So after everyone's nagged us blue in the face, we've finally decided to start a podcast. The first episode (episode 0) is going to be a live sort of "pre-show show" consisting of the guys from iPhone Alley, a special guest or two, and you guys. We'll be starting the show a little before 7PM CST this Saturday (the 19th) and start recording at 7. Here are the details: First off, the show is gonna rock, we promise. Not only have we decided to make it good from the beginning, we've also gotten some semi-pro equipment, so no crappy built-in MacBook audio here. Specifics, etc, after the jump!

Each show will be once a week and come out every weekend. The format will alternate by week; every other week we'll be doing a round table style pre-recorded show. See TWiT for a good example of this. The other week we'll be live, answering your questions. On the round table show, we'll have one or two guys from iPhone Alley as well as a few guests who will discuss the week's news in depth, new iPhone applications, etc. We've already gotten confirmation from a few celebs such as Ken Ray from Mac OS Ken, Bill Palmer of iProng magazine, Jeff Gamet of The Mac Observer, iPhone hacking goddess Erica Sadun of TUAW, and many others.

On the alternating shows, we'll be totally live on Talkshoe. The live show will consist of a few guys from iPhone Alley, and a special guest. We'll once again be discussing current iPhone topics, and we'll also be taking your questions and comments, either via text chat or audio chat.

Please let us know if you'll be joining us. We really need your participation on this first show, as we'll be looking for your suggestions and feedback. It's your show, tell us what you want!

why are podcast so popular? I have never gotten anything out of them and try to stay away from them. I dont see what the big deal is and why iphone alley has to have one. It just tell me that they are followers and not innovators. be different, dont follow just cause its popular. podcast are lame.
