Snapture Camera Application for iPhone Out the Door - April 7th, 2008, 10:29 AM #1 |
It's a work in progress, but it's free and could be extremely cool. A group of developers has released Snapture, a camera application for jailbroken iPhones that provides the following features for the iPhone's built-in camera:
Snapture is developed by Bowei Gai, Jeffrey Kuo, Ajay Panagariya, Prameet Shah and Samir Shah and is available through the Installer.app download system. If you've used Snapture or have any feedback about it, let us know what you think of it. |

Yeah I tried it over the weekend (1.1.2) and no new image files to be found after taking 10 - 15 pics.

Oh, and I'm using it with 1.1.4. Let me yell you; it's great. I have hidden Camera.app now, and use this as my main camera; it really has everything the iPhone Camera should have. And with video comign soon, the iPhone's camera is gonna be great. |

And what is the diffference between this and cameraPro? - April 7th, 2008, 03:47 PM #5 |

Way back when... CameraPro came out and I jumped on it, I thought it was great. Snapture seems to be the exact same thing... the only difference I have seen is the "Flickr account" label is gone.
Like CameraPro, with Snapture I wish one could take pictures without a network being turned on. |

Its already better than Camera Pro if its free. I'll be sure to go ahead and check this out. I liked the concept of Camera Pro, I just never thought Camera Pro was worth paying for. Not to say i won't pay a fee for a iPhone App. I've gladly gotten a license to ShowTime and the Spoof App...but i'm glad to see some developers went ahead and made one completely free

I downloaded this on my jailbroken 1.1.4 and immediately uninstalled Camera Pro. This is not only a nicer application, but it is free. I haven't had any issues, all of my pics end up in the camera roll. I give it 2 thumbs up.

I also had Camerapro but soon replaced it with this one. I don't think you should be paying any fee for app. I think we should pay a donation for the time that it take to create it but no fees. LOVE the new app.
