New Firmware Beta Seeded To Developers, Hacked -    #1

It looks like Apple might have a harder time patching the iPhone to block out hackers than previously suspected. iPhone Dev Team recently reported that a new version of the iPhone fimrware beta has recently been seeded to developers. They also said that, not even a full 24 hours after the release, they have yet again successfully 'pwned' the firmware build, unlocking it and enabling 3rd party apps. (Images after the break.)

According to the Dev Team, "Apple will not really be able to patch it this time."

They posted the following images of the springboard and 'About' screens as evidence, which show the device running firmware version "2.0 (5A225c)" and unlocked running on the network "o2 - de".

Sheesh. Hopefully Apple takes the "iTunes approach" to this problem and makes official development extremely easy. Obviously it seems that way and I'm not sure many people will be into hacking their iPhone once sanctioned apps come out.
