SSD Flash Memory Drops In Price, Possible 32GB iPhone? - February 1st, 2008, 08:43 PM #1 |
|
There sadly hasn't been a 32GB iPhone to date due to the extremely high price of SSD flash memory, but it won't stay that way for much longer. According to Yahoo, the price of flash memory is plummeting, meaning the end products are getting more affordable. That means Apple might eventually be able to put more into the iPhone.
In the last 5 months, flash memory has dropped 75% in price. 1GB chipsets are selling for as low as $2.23, and 4GB for $12.30. Why does this matter? Because if the price drops low enough, Apple may chose to shove a whole 32GB into an iPhone, making them an alternative to an iPod Classic for those who need more than 8GB or16GB. [via Yahoo]

microsoft - February 2nd, 2008, 11:35 AM #2 |

I know this is way off base with the iPhone but hear me out on this one. I was researching xbox 360 memory options, we all know the 120gb cost almost 200 bucks in the store and the 20gb cost a whopping 100 bucks. That just does not seem right at all. But what is more disturbing than that is the xbox 360 512mb removable drive cost a whopping 50 bucks. Now I'm no genius but I know when I'm getting ripped off. It seems like microsoft over charges on its accessories only because they can. Another prime example of why to stay away from microcrap!!!
Remember failure and overprice is not an option, they come bundled with microsofts products. |

Why wish for a 32 GB iPhone when 64 GB NAND Flash Memory has already been designed?
