Some Interface Alterations. - November 12th, 2007, 02:25 AM #1 |
|
I wanted to post just a few alterations that I have done. I didn't feel like showing everything done because that would have taken a little bit more time and I am currently searching through the 1.1.1 firmware system files trying to find other images that were once available on the 1.0.2 firmware. Let me know what you think.

Thank you. I wish I could find the missing images, but since I am doing all of this under Vista I have access only to WinSCP and iPhoneBrowser. I have 2 iPhones(mine and the wifeys) and she is under 1.0.2 and I can find every last image I need to alter, but 1.1.1 seems to have placed some of them within other files or something.

That's awesome, I love it. I assume you did all that yourself. What sort of things have changed in 1.1.1?

I have found that alot of the images that I can still find in firmware 1.0.2 on my wifes phone are now missing or have completely vanished from my phone entirely. I am still going back and scouring every nook and cranny of the file system, but I have had no luck finding what I need. As for the color alterations, yes.. I have spent hours searching and changing the look of specific areas of the phone that I wanted to change. Eventually I might drop a specific firmware 1.1.1 image pack once I am done working and finding the images I need to finish what I wanted done. I also think that someone might beat me to the punch sooner or later so either way everyone wins.

Install Customize and download the Designer and Designer 2 addons. Then go to the Battery Images(Customize) option and you will find it there.

All the files have to be manually replaced atm. I have no idea on how to create an installer, plus this wouldn't work with Customize since the app does not cater to the files that I have modified.

You did a nice customizing work. I am attaching a sample of my battery status. Similar to yours but with a little addition that shows you a dynamic numerical percentage of the battery status.

I've already released an updated form of both my Red/Blue Custom themes. They are hosted on another iPhone hacking site and I don't know if it's OK to post that link here so I haven't. Here's 2 images of the Red dialers, but they are being showcased while I was still running the Blue Custom. The downloads are fully Red or Blue depending on which one you choose.

Springboard Background - February 12th, 2008, 04:52 PM #20 |
|
Hi Severed, Nice work on your themes!
Just wanted to ask. Referring to your original post, the 2nd screen cap down on the left from the top. The springboard background image that you have placed, have you done that with the use of a third party application or is that a system file replacement image?? Could you direct me to the system file that needs replacing if that is indeed what you did. Much appreciated!! DKLY |
