How To: Paint Your iPhone Black - October 30th, 2007, 10:34 PM #1 |
![]() The iPhone is cool. We all know this. But there's an unwritten law of the universe that says that something can be made even cooler if made both jet black and retro at the same time. Mark Hoekstra of Amsterdam has taken the next step and, after winding up with an iPhone that had been dropped and finding himself unable to repair the glass on his own and looking to keep the iPhone fairly discreet, decided to paint it black. After spending almost a weekend getting it open, Mark decided to turn the Home button into an old-school color Apple logo via one taken from an Apple Extended Keyboard II from 1989. Factor in some time, effort, a few hours spent sanding the logo and carefully taking apart, painting and reassembling the iPhone and the rest is history... [-Via geektechnique] |

This isn't much of a 'How-To'. How about a URL to a page with detailed photos/instructions?
