Voice On The Go Announced For iPhone -    #1

Voice on the Go Inc., provider of mobile voice solutions, announced today that their Voice on the Go(R) service for the Apple iPhone is now available. It enables ands-free access to all of the features on the iPhone using voice recognition software, making it a lot easier to use your iPhone while driving a car.

"iPhone is a revolutionary mobile phone that seamlessly integrates multimedia and Internet services," said Simon Arnison, president and chief executive officer of Voice on the Go. "Voice on the Go extends this multimedia capability which allows users to safely and legally access their email and other content with their iPhone by voice in the car while driving - anytime, anywhere."

Voice on the Go also allows you to listen to your email. Instead of reading it yourself, the software will actually read it to you, allowing to focus your eyes on other things. In addition, subscribers can also compose, reply, and forward their email, all by voice commands.

Voice as you Go is a product that would be perticularly useful to those with disabilities with seeing and the like. Persons having difficulty reading on the iPhones screen can now navigate using voice commands and have text read aloud to them instead.

Worthy of note, 50 countries in the world currently have legeslation strictly prohibiting the use of cellphones while driving unless usage is "hands-free". Now, with this software, it can be.

Voice on the Go is a dial-in service, meaning that it does not run natively on the device. It is available for $5.99 plus tax a month as a subscription. You can learn more about it at their website here.
