iPhone 3G on T-mobile

Hey guys I just bought an iPhone 3G and have Jailbroken and Unlocked it so I can use T-mobile. My question is that I hardly use voice and would prefer to use prepaid but I do use data frequently. Until recently (August I think) you could use the sidekick plan and get unlimited data and texting for a dollar a day. I don't need texting but I do need the data. Can you use the blackberry data plan in conjunction with a prepaid plan. I also heard about t-zones. Any advice would be appreciated.

P.S. Being able to tether would be a plus.

Call t-mobile and have them switch you to a smart phone data package. Same price($24.00) as the sidekick plan, but different connection or something. Works only on the edge network, but its great when you jump on any WIFI connection...
