Sim card wont work

i just got 2 iphones (unlocked and jailbrocken) one phone does everything write but the other one does this, i put my sim card in (i have t mobile) and where it should have 1 bar 2 bar 3 bar or 4 bar whatever but i shows _ ____ for a while and then says no service can some one help me

you may need to restore the software. Sometimes (rarely) the jailbreak doesnt take right, and you get no service. Follow the tutorials at hackthatphone.com to restore/jailbreak/unlock it again. Unless any one else has any other ideas.

Thanks kelly, found out the phone was jail-broke but not unlocked!
