French Law Slowing France iPhone Arrival - October 5th, 2007, 06:26 PM #1 |
![]() Rumor has it that France Telecom's Orange is contemplating not being able to carry the iPhone in time for Christmas due to difficulties resulting from a French law that would require them to sell the iPhone both with and without contracts, according to French daily Les Echos. Being that the law would require it to be sold both with and without contracts, it would undermine the exclusivity of Orange as the carrier, thus undermining Apple's usual demand for up to 30% of voice and data revenues.
