I need some help, I think I screwed my Iphone 3GS

Hi, I have a iPhone 3GS what was unlocked to use any currier I want, however about 2 weeks ago I accidentally upgraded to 3.1, without backing up.

Will I ever, or can I ever have my phone working well again with any Currier and able to install hacked .ipas in it?

Please answer, I really hope I did not brck my phone...

Yes you can.
After jailbreak + unlock it.
blackra1n can do it for you.
