3.1 wouldn't unlock. Downgraded to 3.0. Now Russian Steve Jobs won't stop laughing.

I tried to unlock My iphone 3g with pwnage tool using my iMac running ITunes 9.0 and OS X 10.5.8. Tried 3.0, Russian steve jobs laughed at me. Tried with 3.1, successfully jailbroke, no luck unlocking (thanks for the heads up in the tutorial about the possibility a Bootloader version could be too high Dev team) Tried ultrasn0w and fuzzyband. Nothing worked. Decided to downgraded to 3.0. After restoration phone won't do anything but Russian Steve Jobs laughing at me again. Any help out there?

Now, iPhone with 3.1 firmware is easily unlockable by using blackra1n.
