Audio company V-MODA has released the next in their line of VIBE Duo earbuds tailored specifically for the iPhone . In addition to the usual sleek, minimalist built-in microphone, V-MODA has added a control button that lets users answer calls or return to their music library with just a press, similar to the way Apple's stock iPhone earbuds do.

The VIBE Duo earbuds feature all-metal casing and an in-ear design to block out the ambient noise, making it easier to hear what you want to hear.

The Duos are also supposed to provide better bass and treble response, hitting frequencies between 12Hz and 22kHz using a 9mm driver. The plug is also coated in 24K gold. The Duos are now on sale for US$100 directly from V-MODA, or can be found at Amazon.com and the Apple Store.

I checked the Apple Store and V-Moda's website. No where does it say that the headphones have been updated.

So does it really offer better bass when they are just lodged in your ears? The Apple-supplied iPhone earbuds have poor bass, unless you hold them pushed into your ears, which is quite annoying...

They are much better because of the style. They're the same kind of speaker driver, but because its air tight, the sound is less distorted
