AT&T Internal Memo Cites Multiple Company Records Broken On Launch Day - July 2nd, 2009, 04:36 PM #1 |
![]() An internal memo from AT&T has been intercepted by MacDailyNews saying that the week that the iPhone 3GS launched, several company records were broken. Interestingly, one of the more unexpected records broken in the memo had nothing to do with the iPhone, and everything to do with the late Prince of Pop, Michael Jackson. You can check out the full text of the document after the break. 1. Fact of the Week: On June 25, the day Michael Jackson died, text messages sent on our network spiked at 65,000 messages per second — the largest volume ever recorded — surpassing events like American Idol voting and New Year's Eve, when millions of our customers wish their friends and family a happy new year via text."
