Reminder: Don't Update To 3.1 Beta If You Want To Jailbreak - July 1st, 2009, 03:12 PM #1 |
![]() The Dev Team posted a warning on their blog reminding users that if you want to maintain the ability to use the Ultrasnow unlock for the 3.x firmware, don't upgrade to anything past 3.0, including the recently seeded developer copy of the OS 3.1 beta. 3.1 updates the baseband, breaking the ability to be unlocked by the Dev Team's exploit. The warning applies only to 3G and 3GS devices.

Thanks for the heads up but I want to know if I buy the new 3GS and it's preloaded with 3.1 will I not be able to ever jailbreak it, If so I should be getting the 3GS now and hold on to it.

I didn't see this post until it was too late. Will I be able to jailbreak soon if I already upgraded to 3.1?
