Find My iPhone Up And Running On 3.0GM

MobileMe users running the iPhone OS 3.0 gold master copy are reporting that Find My iPhone, the feature Apple announced at WWDC on Monday, is already up and running. Everything we've heard so far says that it works perfectly, just as they described in the keynote address. It's good to know it will be ready when the 17th rolls around, when it will be available to all users of GPS-capable iPhones with MobileMe accounts.

I tried it last night when I got home. All the features work great. I have not tried the remote wipe yet however.

Will this thing work with a trial MobileMe account?

Should. I've never used a trial version but to me it's a strong selling point to new users.

Alright thanks. Wasn't sure cuz I used to have a trial and I have been thinking about opening another and possibly buying, but I dont know if I want to pay $100 for an email account. Esspecialy when I use a PC anyway and probably cant take full advantage of all features of MobileMe.

WHO in their right mind would PAY for mobileme? its GARBAGE and you overpaid.

You can find MobileMe on amazon for really cheap I found a family pack for like 60 bucks and if you money savy you can do something with the other emails with friends so it only end up costing you like 10 bucks. and with the iDisk router hard drive combo I use the hell out of my 10 bucks

I assume those would be the people who want to USE it, as that is the only way I am aware OF for obTAINING access TO it's FeATuREs.
