Hey Guys,

I really appreciated and enjoyed your latest podcast and glad you are well again Michael.

There are lots of ways that Apple can improve the app store, as a developer it is extremely frustrating to try to get noticed. Here are some of my thoughts, they need to add more categories because many apps don't fit into the limited amount that are available now, for example, Hobby, Nature, Green, Crap Apps, etc... They also need a bigger featured page and need to rotate the apps more often, I mentioned in a message on the dev forums a few weeks ago that there were apps on "New & Noteworthy" that were from last September, October & November, amazingly enough they were gone a couple of days later. That limited space is precious to developers and apps should never be on there for months as it is new AND noteworthy not AND/OR.

The App Store obviously wasn't well thought out and they just used the existing model that serves music and movies just fine but they need to design an app store from the ground up (hopefully they are working on this).

I don't really have a problem with the crappy apps or even the $.99 apps I just think everyone's apps should receive some kind of prominence as it is in both Apple's and the developers interests to promote all apps.

By the way there is an iPhone Human Interface Guidelines document and it is pretty helpful, we know what we are supposed to do and not do. Personally, I find Apple's documentation really great and Xcode is an incredible environment to develop in.
