THIS GUIDE WILL NOT WORK WITH IPHONES WITH 1.1.1! IF YOU HAVE PREFORMED MY GUIDE, DO NOT INSTALL THE LATEST UPDATE!!!!! IT COULD BRICK YOUR PHONE OR MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO HACK AGAIN!!

If you have 1.1.1 and you try this guide without reading that giant message above, your not very smart.

Well onto the guide.

This guide will teach you how to go from a boring unhacked iphone, to a pwnage hacked iphone. You will be able to install apps, have custom ring tones, and customize your iphone in general.

THIS WILL NOT UNLOCK YOUR PHONE, EX IT WILL NOT LET YOU USE YOUR PHONE OUTSIDE THE ATT NETWORK!

Step 1

Download and Install Installer.app Windows Version from
http://iphone.nullriver.com/beta/

Follow the on screen directions.

Step 2

You are now able to add programs to your iPhone!
Remember to install "Community Resources" in installer to allow you to see all the applications on the list.
I recommend first installing summerboard, which will allow you to customize how your iphone looks like and will allow you to scroll on the springboard (the home screen).

Adding Ringtones

You can use any song that you have on your iPhone's library as a ringtone using the SendSong application. You can install this app from installer.app.

Adding Nes Roms
For this section, I am not sure if Itunes 7.4 works, I currently use 7.3
You can add NES Roms without using confusing ssh stuff using ibrickr. Download ibricker here
http://cre.ations.net/creation/ibrickr

Using ibrickr to navigate to var/root/Media. Then create the folder ROMs, and within ROMs, create NES. So the full path is var/root/Media/ROMs/NES. The folder names are case sensitive. Then simply upload your roms into the NES folder. Its really simple.

FAQ

Will this prevent me from syncing?
No, it hasn't for me.

Will this break my iphone?
Probably not, but dont blame me if your iphone bursts into flames or something :D

Thanks For Reading!

alight If I dont need to jailbreak the phone to install this .app, how the hell do you even get it in the phone??, I can't SSH too the phone, so how do I do it?? you just gave the link out but you gave nothing on how to install it.

Thanks??

its actually a very good guide. I did mine a little different by first running ibrickr first. It has extremely easy to follow instructions that, quite frankly, if you dont understand you have no business unlocking this phone. It automatically detects and prompts you to unlock (run jailbreak) and then steps you through the process. From there use it to install installer.app and it takes care of everything else on the phone itself.

Installer.app will automatically install it self through the usb cable (not ssh), and will do jailbreak. All you do is connect the iphone to your computer via the usb, then run installer.app. Its really that simple, no need to complicate things.

Oh, you have to install community resources before you can see all the applications on this list. Sry about that, I'll go edit the guide.

Are you connected to edge or wifi? Try to visit a website on safari. If you can, try using install.app again. If not, and you have wifi or edge, try going into airplane mode for 5 minutes, then going out of it. That usually fixes most connection problems.
