Is there another way to enable DFU on 10.5.6? The automatic version you can download online (http://www.iphonealley.com/news/how-to-re-enable-dfu-mode) screws up my Mac and many other Macs out there. After a day or two, USB, trackpad, and keyboard functionality stops working and one must reinstall the. 10.5.6 update in order to use their Mac again. Is there another way to enable DFU mode SAFELY?

The easiest and safest way to get DFU mode working is by plugging your iPhone in through a USB hub.
