Hi,
I'm just trying to activate my iPhone so I can use it as an iPod and with WiFi for now. (Not the phone) I did this with another iPhone about a month ago using iActivator, and it went fine.

I've downloaded the 1.0.2 iphone firmware, and unzipped it. (It turns into a folder.) I'll run INdependance 1.2 on my IntelMac. When I tell it to activate it asks me to find the firmware.

When I locate it on my hard drive it's all greyed out so that INdependence can't select it.

I tried creating a disk image from the unzipped folder, that didn't work... Any ideas? Thanks!

Did you unzip the firmware files?

Thanks for your reply. Was finally able to activate. (Not sure what I had been doing wrong) The wierd thing is that my iPhone stayed on all night. I went to bed listening to a podcast on my iPhone and when I woke up this morning it looked like the screen had been on all night and was now dimmer than before.... hmmmm
