Does anybody know if there's a way to get rid of the wallpaper like behind all the applications when you have summerboard downloaded to the iphone? Cause i'd rather just keep it original then to have some picture or something it bugs me.

pretty sure one of the add on programs to summerboard lets you change the background picture

I didn't realize that there were add-ons for summerboard, but as far as I know, there's no way to not have a background for it yet

I was thinking of taking a photo in the dark - and then choosing that as my wallpaper....it would work for the wallpaper behind the springboard, but what a boring start-up picture.

in the latest update, from today, you now have hte option to set the transparency on the image, or turn off the image completely, as well as turn off the dock (which is actually pretty cool)

Has anyone else encountered problems with Summerboard crashing their iPhone? Mine was working fine for a couple of days, then it started acting up. I would press the home button and would get just a black screen. I'd turn the phone on, and it woud immediately turn off again. Even resetting did nothing to help. After I un-installed Summerboard the problems went away. Any ideas?

Nope, and no suggestions either. Maybe its badly interacting with some other App. But I don't have the time to troubleshoot, I'll just wait for a new update to come out.

i think that this is what i'm running into as well, as i indicated in my new thread post (http://www.iphonealley.com/forums/showthread.php?p=11844).
too bad that the new Summerboard only works with the latest firmware as i doubt anyone is still supporting the old one for 1.0.2 :-(

I have the old iPhone version as well (1.0.2) and I'm experience the home screen blackout. It doesn't crash necessarily, I just have to turn it off and turn it back on. It's occuring quite often and pretty frustrating...

I upgraded to 1.1.3 with the new jailbreak method and I can not download certain apps. It's says that I have to have 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 firmware.
