Iphone firmware upgrade unlocked 1st gen

I got an unlocked 8gb 1st gen iphone.Wanted to load few application from apple itunes store.but i have firware 1.1.3 havent upgraded it yet.kindly let me know if i can still install the app.will it brick my phone?.Whats the procedure for upgrading the firmware?

first off pwnage is for the mac dont go near it

relax first.. plug in your iphone and update it to firmware 2.1 it could lock up on you but dont worry.. and also update itunes to 8.01 or the latest version..

save it to your desktop..

now before you install anything ..this is important..
UNINSTALL EVERYTHING TO DO WITH UNLOCKING AND JAILBREAKING YOU PREVIOUSLY HAD THAN RESTART THE PC..
now when you have updated itunes and your iphone restart your pc again ok..

now run quickpwn and follow instructions carefully ok..
when it asks or looks for firmware 2.1 show it or let it find it..
the only problem you might have is D F U..
