News is spreading like wildfire throughout the tubes that we now have an official release date for our beloved iPhone. According to <a href="http://www.cnbc.com/id/15840232?video=340614273" target="_blank">a story on CNBC</a>, <strike>AT&T has officially said</strike> a Cingular store manager confirmed that the iPhone will be in stores on June 20th. This date coincides with the last day of training for iPhone support representatives which started on the 30th of May. This is not official word from AT&T and could simply be conjecture from the store manager CNBC contacted.
We currently have an e-mail in to AT&T asking them to confirm the date. We'll have more information for you when it becomes available.
