The iPhone Dev Team just announced that version 2.0.3 of the PwnageTool is now available as an update through the built-in updater. This version adds support for iPhone/iPod firmware 2.0.2 5C1, contains an updated version of Installer.app beta, and a new .de localization for people in Germany. At the same time, they also announced the update of the Windows version of the QuickPwn 150 beta, which has an improved GUI, has a fix for YouTube, and BootNeuter support for 2G iPhones.

On a side note, they suggest that users download it only from their servers alone, and that it should not be decompressed using the decompression app “the unarchiver” as it will generally mess things up.

It seems that when pwnage goes to detect for the new ispw file, it does not find the 2.0.2 firmware. I downloaded the firmware from apple, tried to open it and got an error that way too. Anyone else having these problems?

While I think this tool has been awesome up to this point, I tried twice with 2.0.3 and 2.0.2 on my Mac OSX Leopard and everything worked except there were network issues. For example, it would sometimes remember my wifi and mobile me didn't function at all as well as my other emails. Eventually I had to restore back to Apple's version, a bummer. I Pwaned my daughter's phone on Windows with 2.02 with quick pwn and it works fine.

Anyone else have this issue? I used the latest QuickPwn and now the phone doesn't see the AT&T cellular network. Thoughts?
