While there's still no turn-by-turn directions app, a very handy GPS app has managed to make it to the app store. It's called GPSKit and it's made by Garafa for $9.99 in the <a href="http://www.macrumors.com/link/http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewSoftware?id=287909017&mt=8" target="_blank">App Store</a>. The app lets you view and customize real time information like the present time, the duration of your trip, it's estimated accuracy, an Odometer, your current and average speeds, and the direction you're moving in, all in real time. <!--break-->

You can also save your path and view it in Google Earth or Maps, as well as save points of interest. They've created the following demo video of their app in action:

<center><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/jFjqQfdFZy0&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jFjqQfdFZy0&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></center>

This app looks like a copy of the app that I have had for a week or two called
GPS Compass. Which, btw, I like very much.

Weird! How are you viewing it? It's definitely there.
