So while killing the days waiting for launch, I thought of a few things no one has mentioned.

1- Will the iPhone come with an actual AC adapter? Unlike an iPod which now comes sans power brick, it would seem a necessary item for general use - not to mention travel when a laptop might not make the trip. For 599 I would expect this to be a pack in, no??

2- Will we have A/V out like the current video ipod? Haven't seen this one mentioned anywhere either. Same situation, on the road it would be nice to plug 'er in and watch on the TeeVee!

Just a couple of things no one has seemed to mention. Any ideas???

Good questions.

I would say that an AC adapter would most definitely be in order. A cell phone is a totally different beast from a simple iPod. The way I see it, a power brick is crucial to any cell phone. You can't be reliant upon a computer when traveling etc.

Now as far as video out goes, I'm not sure. I think I remember somebody mentioning that there wouldn't be a video out, and if you remember Steve's demo iPhone's had "special boards" in them for the feed. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean video out won't find it's way into the final version, but at this point it's unknown.

Again, great questions and welcome to our community!

For $599 it better come with everything Apple can think of to throw in the box! Also, Apple seems to be eager to emphasize that the iPhone will be first and foremost a phone, and AC adapters are standard eqwipment for smartphones right now.

Honestly, on a side note, I'd like to see standard power adapters for iPods as well. Most people charge their iPods more often then they add songs or other data.

@Michael: I see your point about the iPhone demo "special boards", but that said it would be odd for a phone to mirror to a secondary display constantly, rather than just when playing movie files.

I would hope that a power brick comes with, the packaging I have seen looks big enough but who knows. If it doesn't then I can understand that as Apple see it as a phone you can't use without a computer anyway and syncing is even easier if it "just works" when you charge. How often are you away from a USB port? I would imagine power bricks will sell separately much as I'd like them not to.
