I am unsure, either apple pulled it, or the developer pulled it. I have had it on my phone since the day it was offered, and recently mentioned the name to a friend that wanted it and told me it was no longer in the store.
The AppStore has had a lot of problems and surely isn't perfect. It would be great for apple to leave a note for why an app was taken off

some parent probably complained that it encouraged under age drinking or something
or maybe they realized it was a useless app...who knows

I don't know if its really useless...i have made many drunk people think for a second when i use it..ha :D And making drunk people confused is something to be enjoyed.

iBeer is still in the app store. However, that's a paid app. It makes no sense.

I would say it made perfect sense, people will buy it for the gimmick. Why would people give something away that people will buy?

I don't think they were made by the same people. That's why it makes no sense why Apple would pull one, but not the other.
