Ok i've spent alot of my time trying to figure this out and have come to the conclusion that there is no way to get album art via video out on the iphone. I've connected my phone via video out cable to my car stereo and while youtube and music videos play just fine i was hoping to get the album art through the video out feature.
I'm not sure but i think it would be possible with a hack or an app that allows the iphone to send the artwork via video out. Anyone have any idea if this is done already or hopefully in progress????

You can't get anything except video to show up on a TV. Apple has it set up this way for whatever reason, I assume for performance. When they demo the iPhone, they've always got special bords in them with a giant cable coming out for the projectors. That tells me that there's no way to do it with your standard run-of-the-mill iPhone.

It'd be nice, but as far as I know, there's no way to do it. Possibly through a software update it'll add the album art thing. It's possible since Steve always makes such a big deal out of album artwork.

Yea the other options are to go for the DLO docks but i refuse to spend that much just to get an artwork to appear on my screen. However, the concept does prove that it can be done. Hopefully a software solution will come out soon. Stupid of apple not to put it in place from the start. But then again wont understand why msg forwarding and bluetooth were so limited either. :P
