Ok so we have the new iphone 2.0.1 software pwned and ready to load. The question is how many of you are moving from 1.1.4 to the new 2.0 software?
My only reservation in upgrading is the lack of third party software available for the new os. To me its the third party apps that make the iphone. Agile messenger, mxtube, islsk, wetools, etc are just essential iphone apps.
Does it make sense to upgrade right now or is it better to wait still just a little bit longer?

I believe its time to upgrade. Even if its just for an unhacked phone. With the features they have added in the update, you'd be crazy not too:D and, I myself, enjoy the appstore.

Thanks will look into giving in and upgrading to the new os. I do remember though having an issue with the phone numbers showing instead of the names on my sms list the last time i upgraded to 2.0. Is that problem still there or should i not have that problem now?

I have actually not had that problem, and it should all be fine. Plus, you can upgrade to the 2.0.1, which has fixed many bugs from the 2.0.0 release
