First gen phone to unlock and jailbreak

Novice here. I have a friends iphone that I sold but buyer was deadbeat, so it's mine now. I was told it was restored and running 2.0. All I can tell
is that it comes up with the window wanting to be plugged into itunes.
How do I start to jailbreak and unlock.
Step by step please.

I have been tryed to download pwn 2.0.0.4 I've windows explorer and my computer works perfect; however, I still have hard time to unlock my phone. I have the screen with iTunes icon, usb plug and slide for emergency. Any help please..........................

honest dude if you read all this it works perfect for windows users just read anf follow step by step ..
your phone is in restore mode at the minute so you gotta either restore through itunes or do this

it works perfect i am on 2.1 with unlocked and jailbroken iphone..
because of the legends that made this program
