1.0.2: Cannot restore anymore...

Ok, here's my case. unfortunately i am not able to post this separate, also couldnt find a solution:

iPhone 1G jailbroken and activated 1.0.2. Dont know what solution was used since i purchased it on eBay. using macbook and latest itunes (7.7)

So I tried to virginize this phone with installer - unfortunately this didnt work, since installer always crashed. Accessing it via Independence worked, but didnt deliver any results. so tried to use iLiberty and get it virginized as described in one of your threads. during this procedure the iliberty app crashed, the phone rebooted and showed "bsd root: md0, major 2, minor 0.

now i am stuck - I got the phone back in recovery mode and tried to restore to 1.0.2 but it always fails with an error message (unknow error(4)). what shall I do now?

Can I still get it restored somehoe? Shall I try to restore to 1.1.4 (I am hesitating doing this since my baseband is not virginized)?

Please help me!!

I was able to restore the iphone now, itunes finished the restore process. still, the phone keeps starting with the repeating line: bsd root: md0, major 2, minor 0.

Whats your recommendation now? would you recommend to restore to another firmware - ie. 1.0.0 or ven higher 1.1.4? would it brick the phone since the baseband never got virginized?

an upgrade to fw 1.1.3-2.0 instantly virginizes your phone
I suggest putting the phone in dfu mode and restoring to 2.0 and following one of the tutorials for pwnage that are out there

My 1.1.4 phone was unlocked with Ziphone - worst idea ever- but i had no problems restoring to 2.0. My wife's phone was unlocked with pwnage tool, and I had no problems updating hers either.

Since your phone was on 1.02 it was probably unlocked with any sim or something like that. I don't for-see any problems, but you might want to wait it out a bit until someone some more people confirm that you will be ok. then again, your phone isnt working now, so i dont see what you have to lose.
