VoiceSignal speech recognition has existed for several other phones for a while now, but they have just published a video of the technology working on the iPhone. According to the clip, a couple of VoiceSignal engineers designed this app. However, as of yet it only shows it controlling the iPod music functions.

This hasn't been verified as real yet, but it would be really, really cool if it is. Using speech commands in place of touch controls is definitely a step in the right direction. it sure would be nice to simply speak the command to place a call to someone though a set of microphoned earbuds, without so much as removing the phone from your pocket. One can only hope.

You can view the video demo of the software in action at Gizmodo.com.

ya, i though that was a very cool idea to make an application like that. But like one of the comments says on gizmodo, hopefully its legit. How do we know he just didn't make it recognize those 2 titles and thats it?
