I heard long ago that someone was making a physical controller for the iphone so playing the emulators would be a little more enjoyable. Has this happened yet?

None that I am aware of. They likely have to license the dock connector through Apple. I'm not sure if Apple has to approve their device, but if they do, they won't likely be keen on the idea of supporting game emulators. Maybe if there were a bluetooth device that was pairable, but I don't see a game controller for emulators. I did hear that rumor a few months ago as well. I really doubt it ever came to fruition but it's certainly possible.

i have seen it before, it was on the home page a really long time ago, it was design to look like a psp.
