new to forum and unlocking. using pwnage 2.1 on 2g iphone ,used phone not activated by me....att sim, should the sim be in or out before pwning. the phone is at 2.0

If you're using an at&t account, you don't need to unlock.

My ATT sim is not for Iphone and doesn't work in phone.....need to unlock and want to use that sim in iphone which is supposed to work after unlock. Should the sim be in or out of phone when unlocking ? thanks for any help.
