I received an SMS earlier today, it puts a 1 in the little red dot, but when I press the SMS button, it will open the page, but it stay's blank, then closes after 30 seconds. Never allowing me to read my message, or create one.
My Iphone is V2, anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tried restarting? Hold down the top button until it asks you to turn it off. After it's off, push the button again.

Been here, done that, no positive result! Just goes back to front sceen!!

By iPhone V2 do you mean the new iPhone 3G or just an original iPhone on 2.0? Not that I have a solution unfortunately, just curious as to where the problem lies. The list of problems with the 2.0 firmware is becoming extensive.

It is the original IPhone, upgraded to Version 2.0

I would call Apple but unless you bought the extended AppleCare, your warranty might be expired. Have you had the phone over a year?

There's pretty much only one thing left to try, but I'm pretty confident that it should fix the issue. Backup anything and everything you can and when you plug the phone in, choose restore in iTunes. This will erase everything and rewrite the OS so you can start new. I hope this works for you. Keep up posted.
