So last night I updated to software 2.0 on my 1st Gen iphone using the Pwnage Tool. The process went relatively well, but I noticed the software was much much slower than 1.1.4. I figured its new firmware, and I blamed it on that.

Today, I went to read a text message that had been sent to me over night. Upon tapping the message, my phone froze and after a few minutes, shut down. I clicked the home button and was horrified to find the touch screen stopped working entirely. This has happened to me in the past, and I have had to have the phone replaced twice because of it, so I was very worried.

I tried resetting the phone with the home and power button, but it didn't work. I restored the phone in iTunes with the same custom ipsw and the touch screen works again now.

Does anyone else have this issue?

The Apple 2.0 firmware is full of bugs/issues and you are hacking it and asking why this or that does not work. My iPhone is not hacked and it has issues, real issues. Until the 2.0 firmware is up to snuff I would not even think of adding to the dilemma.
