Yes, the iphone Dev Team has a free 2.0 jailbreak/unlock solution in the works that should be released "soon." This will work on all 1st gen iphones with 2.0 software. you can keep up with their work at blog.iphone-dev.org.

for the iPhone 3g, the answer is no, ziphone doesnt work, and so far there is no software unlock for the iphone 3g. some guys in brazil have supposedly unlocked it with a TurboSim, but i dont think the video is very convincing. even then they haven't posted anything about how to do it.
