if you've tried to log in to Apple's new MobileMe services, you've probably noticed that for the most part they are experiencing some pretty hefty technical difficulties, and the MobileMe service has been <a href="http://www.iphonealley.com/news/mobileme-and-down-push-email-running-great-20-software" target="_blank">up and down</a> intermittently since it's official launch. Well, Apple has finally fessed-up and admitted that they're having some trouble.<!--break-->
According to Apple, the problem their having is with the process of transporting their old .Mac service to the new MobileMe service. According to the company, the transition is "taking longer than expected."
At least Apple is being honest rather than pretending nothing is wrong. There's a decent chance that this could be resolved within the foreseeable future.

<b>Update:</b> At the risk of jinxing it, it looks like MobileMe might be up for good this time. I've been able to log into and tinker around in my account for some time now, and everything seems quite stable at this point. Apple may finally have things under control.</div>
