Upgrade Question

K, so I hit restore in itunes this morning so now im on a restored 1.1.4 iphone after it was previously jailbroken. Is it now safe to upgrade to the new 2.0 firmware? Thanks. Just making sure.

Yes it is ! (as far as I know, I am no apple engineer but as it is like restoring a full backup it should be save !)

Thanks, but i just tried and, since i dont have the new itunes [ windows :'( ]
i got an upgrade error. guess i gotta wait til tomorrow.

Yes, it's safe to upgrade from 1.1.4 to 2.0 with Mac or Windows. Yes, iTunes 7.7 is required for OS 2.0. iTunes 7.7 is out for both mac and windows. I downloaded it for both earlier this morning to replace my dev copy of 7.7. www.apple.com/itunes/download.

sure, I just thought itunes checks your iphone and reports the status to apple.
