It looks like the 5th Avenue Apple Store isn't the only one seeing some pre-iPhone 3G launch excitement. Japan carrier Softbank is seeing crowds of people line up at their flagship store on Omotesandou street, Tokyo. At the front of the line is Hiroyuki Sano, who will be the first person in all of Asia to be getting an iPhone 3G (assuming Hong Kong stores open later that day). <!--break-->

CrunchGear says that Hiroyuki Sano has traveled to Tokyo all the way from Nagoya, Aichi Japan, which cost more than the iPhone 3G will ($213). He's been waiting there since July 7th, and he's got another 52 hours before he gets inside.

hes been waiting outside the store since july 7?! thats just stupid. its not like the japan store opens first so he wont get the very first iphone. im sure he could have gone on july 10th and still gotten an iphone the next day.
