The release date for iPhone firmware 2.0 may have been found hidden in the code of the Apple's tool for submitting apps to the app store. Developers of applications that were accepted to the App Store are given access to a web interface for uploading their apps to iTunes. In the tool, developers set the release date for their applications. It is said that this tool defaults to July 11th, which happens to be the launch date for the iPhone 3G. <!--break-->
