Be it money or you are a Windows user,I thought a few of you might be able to use this. Yes, its free.
iphone Galleries
Requirements:
pop email account
PHP >= 4.0 with GD and PEAR ( mimeDecode as well)
access to cron
Simply create a unique email address for your site such as
iphone-pics@mydomain.com, fill in the values on iphone_galleries.php and upload the 3 scripts to your server.
set cron to hit iphone_galleries.php for whatever interval you
want.
How to use:
Send an email from your iphone with a picture attachment to the address above.
The subject line will become the gallery name.
If you set up cron, you can wait for it run or simply go to
your_site.com/iphone_galleries.php to run it manually.
Then go to your_site.com/index.php to see your new gallery.
This was a just a quick and dirty script I put together during some down time at work today, so no flames please.
Sorry guys, been a long day. You can pick it up here - www.augur.ws

Or, you could check out my site, which existed before Apple launched Dot Mac's web galleries anyway. All you have to do is register (which is free) and you can upload your photos immediately. No set up or installation required.

I think the answer is yes to both solutions. iphoneshots looks like a nice site where you can email a pic and it ends up in their blog where users can rate it and comment on it. My solution was designed for someone that has a hosting account to put up their own galleries that they could share with family and friends. Either way, all you have to do is send an email and the picture ends up on the server.
You can see an example here of mine: www.augur.ws/demo/
All you'd have to do is wrap it a nice gui to have it look pretty nice.

So with your method, augur, after you get the "send to gallery" working, you then need to set up some php that checks for images and posts them to the page, right?

With mine, everything is handled by the iphone_galleries.php script. Its set run from cron every 15 minutes and logs into the pop account, checks for new messages, saves and creates a thumbnail of the picture, creates a gallery directory based on the subject of the email, and deletes the email ( if set to).
That's it. The other included scripts simply parse the gallery directories and display them.
Assuming you have php with pear setup, all you have to do is upload the 3 scripts, fill in the variables for your mail server on iphone_galleries.php and you are done.

Hello,
Thank you for creating the php script for extracting photos from emails.
I am experiencing a problem with the script and after doing some research I can't figure out what the problem is.
I am getting the following error.
Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /usr/www/users/infosprt/iteams/pic/iphone_galleries.php on line 114
Do you have any ideas. My email address is al@infosports.com
Thanks,
Al

Hey Al,
Email sent - I think you are having an issue with PEAR and I sent a non-PEAR download link for you to try: http://augur.ws/download.php?s=2

Augur,
Thank you for your very helpful support. Last night and this morning Mike worked with me to get the iPhone photo script working on my server. Mike provided excellent support for his script.
The problem Mike helped me with was of my own making.
Thanks again,
Al, iTeams.mobi
