Summer Shows

Summer is upon us and it's time to get ready for some great music festivals, concerts, and shows. Who is planning to go to see any bands this summer? What bands and where?

Lollapalooza is on the top of my list. I'm also planning to go see Death Cab for Cutie on June 3rd in Chicago.

Sounds like you live around Chicago, that's where I am too!

I haven't decided on Lolla or not, but I'm definitely leaning in that direction. We should meet up if I do plan on going. I wanted to see that Rogue Wave/Death Cab show but I think the tickets are sold out.

Pitchfork is another festival I'm gonna attend, only Sunday, though. Hoping to see Spoon and Apples In Stereo.

I'm definitely going to see Weezer when they tour later. I duno of they're touring over the summer since they haven't announced anything yet. Otherwise, I'm just going to see as many things as I can. I'm using the last.fm concert finder thing which rocks.

I'll list more when I plan to go.

I didn't realize that Death Cab show was sold out. I don't have tickets; just planning to buy them at the door. Rogue wave would be cool too

I duno about Lolla since it's so expensive

The cost of Lolla is so worth the amount of bands playing there. If like even 1/4 of the bands, it's so worth it.

I can't make it, though. :P

There is a wonderful pipe organ at a church in my city (Chicago suburbs). I expect to hear an excellent series of concerts there featuring various guest organists. The acoustics aren't perfect, but the quality of the instrument overcomes that and then some.

I'll be seeing Radiohead Aug. 4th here in the NE Ohio area at Blossom Music Center (http://www.livenation.com/venue/getVenue/venueId/108). Should be a GREAT show!
