Installer.app has been the number one source for getting native iPhone apps on your iPhone, but up until now it's been a real pain to try to find something. Thankfully that's no longer the case. A new beta version of Installer.app has been released, and it now features a search bar for searching through individual categories.

Currently there is no single search bar that searches the whole of the app's directories at once, but instead has an individual search bar for each category, which is accessed by entering the category you want to search. Also, it only searches for packages that you haven't already installed on the device. This could be a pain if you're trying to tell someone where to find that cool thing you just installed but can't remember where it's located. Still, I think that we can all agree that this is a very welcome addition to Installer.app.

ok, im happy i can search for a title now without having to scroll all the way down to "s", however an a-z title bar on the right(just like in contacts) would be better.

My other issue with the installer app is the featured items list and the recent packages list. Why is the recent package list everything that is in the featured list? the recent package list should list just that, the most recent packages added to the installer, not what is featured. they are two different lists and thus should be kept separate.
